Empowerment Through Equity

Placing Young Adults at the Forefront of Community Transformations

Who We Are

At The County Collectives (CoCo), we take intersectionality seriously by asking ourselves whose voices are missing and then center those people. From BIPoC young adults who may also identify in the queer spectrum, people with visible and invisible disabilities to unhoused people, previously incarcerated people, people who are undocumented/DACA, and/or lower-income, in addition to other oppressed identities not stated here, we take a stance.

Collaborate & Co-Create

  • Mutual Aid

We create and partner with other grassroots organizations to deliver events, programs & ecosystems that positively impact our greater community.

  • Volunteering

From volunteering to create drive-in movie experiences during COVID to helping neighbors move who were fleeing to safety from racist attacks, we continue to show up!

  • Championing

Our more seasoned adult program champions help to elevate our up-and-coming young adult leaders through helping to open opportunities and empowering them to take action.

  • Listening

We have developed numerous creative opportunities to obtain community insight that is more than completing a survey or joining a focus group. Additionally, we actively listen to all sides.

  • Leading

From attending city council meetings, testifying on issues, or leading peaceful protests, our BIPoC leaders and co-conspirator allies are willing to put the effort forward to ensure that their cohort is heard.

  • Transforming

We take a different view on today’s most pressing issues as our viewpoint is younger. Our young adults create opportunities for resilient community transformations by taking a long-term view of today’s greatest challenges.
